The Riot Stage draws inspiration from the turbulent and sometimes chaotic history of Shakespearean theater. During Shakespeare's time, plays were performed in lively public spaces where the audience was often rowdy, vocal, and very much involved in the action—sometimes to the point of causing riots if they were displeased. The Riot Stage captures that rebellious energy; a theater company that embraces the raw, untamed spirit of Shakespeare's era, making it relatable and exciting for a teen audience… and beyond.
